Woman Stabs Live-In Partner to Death in Kolkata

Kolkata: A photographer was stabbed to death by his live-in partner. The murder occurred a few hours after he reportedly shared a ‘family’ photo of him with the woman and her son on his social media account.

The deceased identified as 32-year-old Sarthak Das was living in a rented accommodation with the accused woman, Sanhati Paul, a divorcee with a son. According to neighbours, recently both were quarrelling a lot.

The accused was a makeup artist. She allegedly stabbed her live-in partner several times with a knife. Then she called up the police to confess her crime.

Police rushed profusely bleeding Das to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

The man had reportedly shared some pictures with the woman with hashtags such as ‘betterhalf’, ‘loveofmylife’, etc. The woman is said to have confessed to murdering Das during the interrogation by the police. But the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
