Woman Strangles 2-Yr-Old Son for Disturbing During Phone Call  

Ranchi: Afsana Khatoon, a woman in Jharkhand’s Giridih district allegedly strangled her 2-year-old son for disturbing her while she was on a phone call.

She was irked when her son did not stop crying while she was talking with someone over the phone.

Afsana married Nizamuddin six years back and the couple had two sons, aged four and two.

Afsana’s father-in-law Rojan Ansari complained about the incident before the police. According to the complaint, Afsana had a fight with her husband on Thursday. After that, she locked herself in a room with her younger son. She was on a phone call when her son started crying. In a rage of anger she strangled the child, alleged the family.

Later her husband entered the room and found their son unconscious. The toddler was rushed to the hospital, but he died.

Police have arrested Afsana, who claims she did not intend to kill her son and it was an accident. The police have sent the child’s body for postmortem. Further investigations are underway.
