Rats Consumed 19 kg Ganja & Bhang, Police Tell Court in Jharkhand

Ranchi: Rats ate 10 kg of marijuana and nine kilograms of ‘bhang’ which was kept in a warehouse in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad, was the statement of the police at a Dhanbad court.

The narcotics were seized from a man named Shambhu Agarwal and his son on December 14, 2018.

During the course of their trial, the court of Principal and Session Judge directed the investigation officer to exhibit the confiscated material.

But the police failed to produce it in court and submitted in the court that seized ganja and bhang was consumed by rats.

An investigation into the matter has been ordered by the SP of Dhanbad Police.
