In 2nd Trailer of ‘Monkey Man’, Dev Patel in a Bloodied Fight Against the Rich

Mumbai: The makers released the new trailer of ‘Monkey Man’ on Friday. Actor Dev Patel is making his directorial debut with this action drama.

The second trailer provides details about Patel’s Monkey Man and his fight against the rich.

The three-minute-long trailer begins with the young Patel asking Sikander Kher if he even knows the names of the people he once killed ruthlessly before getting punched down by him. Soon, Patel reincarnates as a man turning into a ‘beast’ in anger to avenge his mother’s death.

The highlight of the trailer is the rhythmic tabla beats, played by maestro Zakir Hussain, used as background music in fiery action sequences.

Monkey Man also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, and Makarand Deshpande.

As per the makers, ‘Monkey Man’ is a film about “one man’s quest for vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother. The film is said to be inspired by the legend of the Hindu god, Hanuman.

‘Monkey Man’, directed and co-written by Patel, is being released by Universal Pictures on April 5.
