Riteish Deshmukh to Play the Villain in ‘Raid 2’

Mumbai: Riteish Deshmukh has been signed to play the villain in Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2.’

In the past Riteish Deshmukh has acted with Ajay Devgn in comedy films. In ‘Raid 2’ he will face Ajay Devgn on the silver screen for the first time in the role of an antagonist.

Earlier, the makers had announced Vaani Kapoor to play the lead alongside Ajay in the forthcoming film.

The movie will release on November 15, 2024.

It is directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar.

Shooting of ‘Raid 2’ started in Mumbai on January 6.

The first part of this franchise was based on the real-life income-tax raid on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s which is said to be the longest raid in Indian history, lasting three days and two nights.
