‘Raid 2’ to have Vaani Kapoor Opposite Ajay Devgn

Mumbai: The much-awaited sequel, ‘Raid 2’ will have actress Vaani Kapoor opposite Ajay Devgn. Vaani has proved her acting skills in ‘Shudh Desi Romance,’ ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,’ and ‘War.’

Shooting of ‘Raid 2’ directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar, started in Mumbai on January 6.

The sequel will also recreate a power-packed real-life Income Tax raid like the 2018 hit ‘Raid’.

The ‘Raid 2’ will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The film will hit theaters on November 15, 2024. , The pairing of Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor promises a riveting sequel.

‘Raid’ retold the tale of a real-life income-tax raid conducted by officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh during the 1980s, which is termed longest-lasting raid spanning three days and two nights. Released in 2018, ‘Raid’ gained critical acclaim and box office success. Its global income surpassed Rs 150 crore.
