Watch: Mission Raniganj Trailer Released Showing Sardarji Akshay Trying to Rescue Miners

Mumbai: The first trailer of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Mission Raniganj was released on Monday.

This movie is based on the true life event of late Jaswant Singh Gill, who led India’s first successful coal mine rescue mission.

The trailer begins with a terrible mining accident and the trapped miners are screaming, pleading for their lives to be saved. Above the ground in Akshay Kumar playing a Sikh engineer launches a rescue mission.

The film also stars Parineeti Chopra as Akshay’s wife.

The film is all set to open in theatres on October 6. Its release will coincide with Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Thank You for Coming’, directed by Karan Boolani.
