Actor Vijay’s Party to Induct 2 Cr New Members, Thrust on Women, 1st Time Voters

Chennai: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, the new political party floated by Actor Thalapathy Vijay, has decided to expand the party by inducting two crore new members.

The party president Vijay instructed his colleagues to reach the target of two crore new members in the party and also called for the active participation of women and first-time voters.

“We must endeavour to ensure that the general public, including first-time and women voters, become active members of our party,” Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam’s headquarters announced.

The party held a meeting in Chennai on Monday to discuss the membership and expansion issues. Vijay, the party supremo, requested his party colleagues to conduct a district and Assembly-wise membership drive to build the party organization from the grassroots.

A mobile application will also be made available soon for the membership drive to ensure that general voters, first-time voters, and women voters associate with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party.

Actor Vijay’s party will not participate in the coming Lok Sabha polls. The actor’s party would contest the 2026 Tamil Assembly elections.
