BSF Seizes Arms, Ammunition Near India-Pakistan Border in Punjab

New Delhi: Personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) seized an AK-47 assault rifle, two magazines and 40 cartridges from a field near the India-Pakistan border in Punjab’s Ferozepur district.

These items were seized during a search operation by the BSF on Friday following Pakistani drone movement in the area during the intervening night of January 18 and 19. It was suspected that the drone was used to transport these arms and ammunition across the border.

A packet wrapped in a white-coloured gunnysack was located near the arms and ammunition. It contained Rs 40,000 cash.
