Arvind Kejriwal Meets MK Stalin to Bolster Campaign Against Centre’s Ordinance

Chennai: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal recently met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to seek support in his campaign against the controversial ordinance imposed by the Indian central government.

Stalin confirmed that the opposition coordination was already underway and expressed the DMK’s wholehearted involvement.

Kejriwal’s nationwide tour aims to unite opposition parties and block the ordinance in the upper house of parliament, where they hold more seats than the BJP and its allies.

As part of his efforts, Kejriwal is scheduled to meet Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on June 2. During the meeting with Stalin, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, also from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was present.

Kejriwal has previously met with influential political figures such as Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Nitish Kumar, and Tejashwi Yadav.

This campaign follows a recent legal victory for the Delhi government, granting it control over bureaucrats’ appointment and transfer, excluding public order, police, and land affairs.

However, the central government quickly issued an ordinance to bypass this ruling, establishing its authority over senior officer transfers in Delhi.
