“Was Humiliated By Aftab’s Family …”: Shraddha’s Father Reveals Startling Facts

Mumbai: In the aftermath of the ghastly killing of Shraddha Walkar by her partner Aaftab Poonawala, Vikas Walkar, Shradha’s father made some stunning revelations on Saturday.

Vikash stated that he had previously visited Aaftab’s Vasai home but had been humiliated, forced out of the house, and cautioned by his family not to return ever again.

He claimed in an interview with a regional news channel that he was unaware when his daughter moved to Delhi, where she was killed in May of this year.

He demanded justice for Shraddha, calling for stringent punishment for Aaftab for the heinous crime.

Aaftab is charged with strangling Shraddha Walker to death, slicing up her body into numerous parts, storing them in a refrigerator, and then disposing of them over a period of days in Delhi. The suspect was arrested on November 12.

“They were having some issues in their relationship and I had been to Aaftab’s house to discuss the problem and solve it but I was humiliated by Aaftab’s cousin. His family members further warned me to never visit their house again,” Vikas Walkar said.

When Shraddha Walker was unable to be located, her family members reported her missing to the Manikpur police station in Vasai, an officer had claimed.

The victim is from Vasai, and the pair lived there before moving to the national capital.

“I didn’t know Shraddha Walker had travelled to Delhi. I learned of her whereabouts following the filing of a missing report with the Manikpur police station”, explained Vikas.

He claimed that he and his daughter would only occasionally speak on the phone, and were not in frequent touch.

He said, “I had attempted to get Shraddha Walker to end the connection, but she wouldn’t listen.”
