Mumbai: New Year’s festivities in Mumbai took a tense turn as police scrambled to respond to a bomb threat targeting several locations in the city. The anonymous call, placed at 6 pm to the Mumbai Police Control Room, sent officers on high alert, casting a shadow over the planned celebrations.

According to details, the caller made a chilling claim of impending explosions before abruptly disconnecting the line. While no suspicious objects were found during an extensive sweep of the city, the threat prompted authorities to step up security measures.

“Several checks were conducted based on the information received,” confirmed a police spokesperson. “However, nothing suspicious was found.”

Meanwhile, with the festive spirit still very much alive, the Mumbai Police are leaving nothing to chance. Security has been significantly tightened across the city, particularly around potential gathering points and landmark locations.
