PM Modi Launches “Rozgar Mela”, Over 75,000 New Appointees To Get Appointment Letters Today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially began the “Rojgar Mela,” a recruitment effort for 10 lakh new employees through video conference today

75,000 newly appointed appointees will get appointment letters during the ceremony.

This is an important step in fulfilling the Prime Minister’s ongoing commitment to provide job opportunities for the youth and to ensure the welfare of residents, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

“As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode,” the statement said. The new recruits from across the country will join 38 Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.

“The appointees will join the government at various levels viz Group – A, Group – B (Gazetted), Group – B (Non-Gazetted) and Group – C. The posts on which appointments are being made include Central Armed Force Personnel, Sub Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspectors, MTS, among others,” the PMO statement said.

Ministries and Departments are carrying out these hirings in a mission mode, either independently or through hiring organisations like the Railway Recruitment Board, UPSC, and SSC.

The statement ended by concluding that “For expedited recruiting, selection processes have been streamlined and made tech-enabled.”
