Transgender Beaten to Death Over Suspicion of Kidnapping Children in Telangana

Hyderabad: In a tragic incident in Nizamabad, Telangana, a transgender was beaten to death by locals amidst rumours of child kidnappings on Monday.

According to police reports, the transgender, identified as Raju (50) was a beggar and officially recognized as belonging to the third gender, fell victim to the angry mob before law enforcement could intervene. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Raju succumbed to injuries sustained during the attack.

Authorities have initiated legal action against four individuals linked to the assault. This unfortunate incident sheds light on the vulnerability faced by marginalized communities, particularly transgender individuals, in such situations.

Furthermore, in a separate but concerning development in Kamareddy, two women conducting a survey narrowly escaped a similar fate due to mistaken identity. Police have launched an investigation into the matter, and a case has been registered.
