2 Labourers Killed As Soil Caves In During Underground Pipe Laying In Joda

Joda: Two labourers died and another was seriously injured when soil caved in at a worksite at Kamarajoda on the Joda-Bamebari Expressway under Joda police station limits in Keonjhar district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Arjun Lohar and Charan Lohar, of Dalaka Hating locality of Kalapahada in Keonjhar district. The injured has been identified as Mukesh Sardar.

The accident occurred while the labourers were involved in underground drainage pipe laying work. They got trapped under a pile of soil that caved in. Two died on the spot. The injured was rescued and admitted to the Joda Community Health Centre (CHC).

On being informed, Joda police reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.
