60-Yr-Old Beaten to Death in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: A group of locals allegedly beat a 60-year-old man named Kailash Meher at the Lecture colony area of Jharsuguda town.
The deceased was a butcher of the area. For some reason, some locals were angry with him. He was surrounded by a group of lathi-wielding men in front of his house.
Following an altercation between the group and Kailash, he was lethally attacked by the group.
Family members of the victim rushed to rescue him. But by that time Kailash was seriously injured.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital, but the doctors could not save him.
Family members of the victim lodged a complaint regarding this murder at the Jharsuguda town police station. An investigation is on.
