Another Leopard Attack Sparks Panic Among Nuapada Villagers

Nuapada: A calf was reportedly killed by a leopard in Powertola village under Sadar range in Odisha’s Nuapada district. Continuous attacks by the big cat have triggered panic among the villagers of the district.

On being informed, a team from the forest department reached the spot and tried to assuage the panic-stricken people.

Earlier, a leopard attack sparked fear in the Dariyamahuabhata village of the district.

It is pertinent to note that for the last few days, leopard attacks is recorded continuously. A few days back, while collecting firewood in the backyard of her house in Jalamdei village, a tiger came and pounced on her. As she did not return home until late at night, the family searched for him but could not find her. On the next day, a leopard killed a calf in Mohradihi village of the district.
