Assistant Engineer of RWSS of Mayurbhanj under Vigilance Trap

Mayurbhanj: Assistant Engineer of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation of Mayurbhanj district trapped in vigilance net.

The assistant executive engineer was identified as Rabinarayan Panda.

Odisha Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at the properties of an assistant executive engineer of the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation department of Udala in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. He was held on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

As per the reports, a team of Vigilance sleuths led by one Additional Superintendent of police, eight Deputy Superintendent of police, five Inspectors, one Sub-inspector, 11 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and other staff is carrying out simultaneous raids at properties of Panda in Bhubaneswar, Kendrapada and Udala, Mayurbhanj.

The eight places involve:

1. A three-storeyed building over plot no 992KC-01, Kharvel Complex, Aiginia, Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar.
2. 2 BHK Flat No. 401 in the fourth floor D-Block, “Tower  Blue Hill” Apartment at Patrapara, Bhubaneswar.
3. Premises of M/s SPS construction and consultancy located at shop no D-2 and D-3, Khandagiri shopping plaza, Bhubaneswar.
4. Premises of Triveni Autotech Pvt Ltd located at plot no N-6-536, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
5. House located at his native Danpur village in Kendrapara
6. Relative’s house at Kansara in Kendrapara.
7. Office chamber at RWS&S Sub-division, Udala, Mayurbhanj.
8. Official residence at Udala, Mayurbhanj.

The searches are presently underway.
