Bahanaga Triple Train Accident Death Toll Rises to 291, Another Injured Succumbs

Cuttack: With the death of another injured at the Trauma Care ICU of the SCB Medical College and Hospital on Saturday, the death toll in the horrific triple train crash in Odisha’s Bahanaga Bazar station rose to 291.

This victim was identified as Sohail Mansur from Bihar. He was the third injured of the horrific accident to die in a week during treatment. An injured had died on Friday. Another person had succumbed to injuries four days ago in the SCB Medical College and Hospital. All of these three were from Bihar.

On June 2, Chennai-bound Coromandel Express from Shalimar, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a stationary goods train were involved in this major train accident that has till date claimed 291 lives. Over 1100 people were injured in the deadly train crash.

Even now several injured passengers are undergoing treatment at SCBMCH.
