Bank Security Guard Fires Accidentally, Three Injured in Rajgangpur

Rajgangpur: Accidental firing from a security guard’s gun injured three persons at a weekly market in Rajgangpur in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Thursday.

The persons, who suffered bullet wounds were Muhammad Ilias (40) of Dilwar Ganj, Sita Lakra (30) of Jampali, and Anuras Tanti (25) of Shanti Nagar.

This gun-wielding security guard was accompanying a private bank’s cash management vehicle to load cash at the ATM in the area.

For some reason, while he was getting down from the vehicle, his gun went off accidentally. The bullets pierced three persons who had come to the weekly market.

The injured persons were shifted to the government hospital in Rourkela. A police team has rushed to the spot to investigate the reason behind this accidental firing.
