BD Mishra becomes new Governor of Meghalaya

Shillong: BD Mishra took oath as the new Governor of Meghalaya on Tuesday. Former Indian Army Brigadier Mishra has been serving as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh since 2017 and has been given additional charge of the neighboring state of Meghalaya. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Assembly Speaker Metbah Lyngdoh and senior Cabinet Ministers.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma welcomed the new governor.

Satya Pal Malik’s tenure as the Governor of Meghalaya ended on October 3 last. Satya Pal’s tenure was not extended.
