Bike Hits Tanker in Rayagada, 2 Dead & 1 Seriously Injured

Rayagada: Two persons lost their lives and another was seriously injured when their bike had a head-on collision with a tanker in the Tikiri area of Rayagada district at late night on Friday.

The deceased were Maheshwar Majhi of Dengaguda village and Udaya Majhi of Kupachal village. The injured was Suresh Majhi of Dengaguda.

According to police sources, this accident took place near the Shankara village under Tikiri police limits at around 1 am.

The ill-fated trio was returning back to their homes when their bike collided with an alumina-loaded tanker coming from the other side.

Both deceased died on the spot. Suresh was admitted to the Tikiri hospital.
