BSF Jawan Strays into Pakistan in Dense Fog; Released by Pak Rangers After Talks

New Delhi: Due to extreme poor visibility because of dense fog, a BSF jawan entered Pakistan by mistake and was captured by Pak Rangers on Thursday morning. According to BSF sources, the jawan was later released following talks between both sides. He returned back safe and sound.

This BSF jawan was involved in routine check-up along the zero-line when blinded by the dense fog he strayed into the Pakistan side. This jawan has been identified as Head Constable Hemnath of the 160 Battalion of Border Out-Post Puran in the Abohar sector.

He entered Pakistan by mistake at around 6:30 am, a top BSF official said.
