Chaos Spills from House to Streets; Parliament adjourned for the day

New Delhi: Parliament was adjourned for the day on Wednesday as MPs of the opposition and the ruling BJP continued to create chaos over allegations against the Adani Group and comments made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in London.

The proceedings were disrupted for the third straight day In the Lok Sabha. Opposition MPs stormed into the Well of the House, shouting slogans and raising placards. They demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Adani issue.

In retaliation the BJP MPs lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, stating that the Congress MP has insulted India and cast aspersion against the Speaker of the House.

Similar chaotic scenes were also witnessed in the Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, the chaos in the Parliament spilled out to Delhi streets as opposition MPs took out a protest march to the ED headquarters to hand over their complaint on the Adani row.
