Khalistan Supporters Deface Hindu Temple in Australia

BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, a Hindu temple in Australia’s Melbourne was reportedly attacked and defaced by some Khalistan supporters. These miscreants put up anti-India graffiti on the temple walls.

As reported in Australia Today, this Hindu temple in Melbourne was defaced with “Hindustan Murdabad” graffiti. BAPS Swaminarayan temple management condemned this attack. There were messages against PM Modi. It is alleged that through wall writings, the Khalistan supporters also praised the terrorist, Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale, who was killed during Operation Bluestar.

The temple management condemned this vandalism. In a statement, it said, “We are deeply saddened and shocked by these acts of vandalism and hate. We offer our prayers for peace and harmony and will provide a fuller statement in due course.

The Hindu community in Melbourne has lodged a formal complaint with the police and local MPs regarding this vandalism at the Hindu temple. Vishva Hindu Parishad of Australia also slammed the targeted attack on Hindu temple.

In September 2022, BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Canada was defaced by ‘Canadian Khalistani extremists’ with anti-India graffiti.
