Khurda-Balangir National Highway Submerged

Bhubaneswar: The floodplains of Odisha are inundated. Meanwhile, the overflowing floodwaters of the Daya River have entered the capital. The flood water of Daya river has entered the Sundarpada area. A large number of people are facing non-existent problems due to water logging. People are left in the dark due to power cuts while drinking water has run out.

Along with this, the Khurda-Balangir National Highway 57 has been submerged in floods. There are one and a half feet of water on NH-57, and traffic has been disrupted. 5-foot floodwater is flowing in the hot spring of Autry.

A 25 feet long gorge has been created in the Kushabhadra river. The GOP Ganeshwarpur Panchayat is in a state of chaos. Hundreds of villages in 6 panchayats are expected to be affected as a result. On the other hand, river water has entered Banki NAC. Flood water has entered wards number 14, 15, and 16 of Sahadpada. However, as of 6 am, the water level of Hiramkud is 626.56 feet. 5 lakh 96 thousand 92 cusecs of water enters the dam while 6 lakh 79 thousand 683 cusecs of water is discharged from the dam.
