Kidnapped Rajasthan Youths Burnt Alive in Haryana; Cow-Vigilantism Suspected Murder Reason

New Delhi: The charred remains of two Muslim youths kidnapped from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur were discovered in a burnt-down vehicle at Bhiwani of Haryana. Police suspect cow-vigilantism may be the reason behind this double murder.

Family members of the deceased youths alleged that they were abducted by cow vigilantes associated with the Bajrang Dal. Investigating police officials also accept that one of the victims was involved in cases of cow smuggling. So, a probe is on to ascertain if the crime was a case of cow vigilantism or not.

The two youths identified as Junaid and Naasir were allegedly kidnapped from Bharatpur on Wednesday. Their charred remains were found on Thursday in Haryana. The bodies were unidentifiable. From the vehicle, it was suspected that the deceased may be the duo abducted from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur.

The DNA samples of the charred bodies will be sent for testing to ascertain the identity of these two dead persons. It is not yet decided whether Rajasthan or Haryana police will take up the probe into the case.
