Lightning Kills 3 Women in Kalahandi District

Bhawanipatna: Lightning killed three women near Chitamunda village of Parla panchayat under Dharamgarh police station limits in Kalahandi district on Tuesday evening.

The deceased women were working in a field when lightning struck them.

The deceased women were identified as Shanti Nimagachhia (50), Rupe Nimagachhia (50), and Lata Nimagachhia (17). All of them were from Chitamunda village.

They were working in an agricultural field when a sudden thundershower started. They took shelter under a tree to escape the rain. This tree was struck by lightning.

Dharamgarh police reached the spot and seized the three bodies for post-mortem.
