Male Nurse Kills Wife by Lethal Injection in Pune

Pune: A 23-year-old male nurse used his professional knowledge to murder his wife by lethal injection. This male nurse Swapnil Sawant was serving at a private hospital in Maharashtra’s Pune district. He wanted to pass off the murder of his wife as a suicide.

He has been arrested on charges of murder of his wife. According to police sources, although married, Sawant was having an affair with a nurse, who was his colleague.

Sawant had married the victim Priyanka Kshetre around five months back. On November 14, he took Priyanka to a hospital in critical condition of poisoning, where she was declared dead.

But during the investigation, it was found that Sawant had stolen some lethal drugs and injections, including Vecuronium Bromide, Nitroglycerin injections, and Lox 2%, from the hospital where he worked. It is alleged that he administered these injections to kill his wife.

The accused had planned to marry his nurse girlfriend after the death of his wife.
