Man Chops Murdered Wife’s Body & Hides Them Water Tank in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Chhattisgarh police nabbed a man, who allegedly murdered his wife, chopped off the body into pieces, and hid them in a water tank in his house in Uslapur under Sakri police station of Bilaspur district. According to police sources, the accused named Pavan Thakur allegedly killed his wife on suspicions of infidelity.

The decomposed body parts of the victim were recovered from the water tank on Sunday night. Police suspect that the murder may have occurred at least 1-2 months back. The deceased woman was identified as Sati Sahu.

This gruesome murder came to light when some neighbours of Thakur complained about extremely foul smell coming from his house. Receiving the complaint, police searched the house and located the decomposed mutilated body of the woman in the overhead water tank.

The incident follows the similar Nikki Yadav murder case in Delhi. The accused, Sahil Gehlot allegedly killed his girlfriend and live-in partner Nikki Yadav, and stuffed her body inside a refrigerator in a dhaba owned by his family. He also married another girl on the day of the murder.
