DNA Report Confirms Bones Aaftab Threw in Jungle Were of Shraddha Walkar

New Delhi: DNA test of bones recovered from body pieces allegedly thrown in the jungle by Aaftab Poonawala confirms that they were of Shraddha Walkar. This DNA report would be key material evidence against the killer Aaftab Poonawala as he had led the police investigating team to these body parts thrown by him in a jungle in Delhi’s Mehrauli area and in Gurugram. The DNA report came in today.

As per reports, the DNA samples from these bones were matched with the DNA samples from Shraddha Walkar’s father.

Aftab is accused of murdering and chopping his live-in partner Shraddha into 35 pieces and disposing of her body parts of Delhi in 18 days. Shraddha and Aaftab were living together since 2019 after meeting on a dating platform. On May 8 of this year, they moved from Mumbai to Delhi. Aaftab allegedly killed Shraddha by strangling her and later chopped her body into 35 pieces on May 18 for “easy disposal”, he confessed.
