Mumbai Man Kills Neighbour, Hides Body in House; Arrested

Dharavi: In a disturbing incident that took place in Mumbai’s Dharavi area, a 26-year-old man has been accused of murdering his neighbour and concealing the body in his own residence.

According to local authorities, the shocking discovery came to light when residents went to collect maintenance fees from the alleged perpetrator and noticed a strong and unpleasant odour emanating from his house in the Sethwadi area.

Upon being informed, the police immediately launched an investigation, leading them to uncover the decomposed body of the victim covered by a bedsheet inside the suspect’s residence. Preliminary findings suggest that the accused had invited the victim over for a drink on Friday night, but an argument escalated into a violent altercation, resulting in the victim’s untimely demise.

To further compound the crime, the accused seized the victim’s mobile phone and watch before placing the lifeless body in his own room. Astonishingly, the suspect continued to move freely in the neighbourhood, seemingly unfazed by his reprehensible actions, until law enforcement devised a plan and successfully apprehended him.

The arrested individual, identified as a food delivery agent, now faces charges under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community and serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and reporting suspicious activities to prevent such tragedies from occurring.
