Bhubaneswar: The entry fee of any museum in Odisha will not exceed Rs 10. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday directed the state Culture department regarding it.
“Odisha is the land of art. Our art and culture have created a unique identity of Odisha all over the world. Museums have played an important role in preserving and promoting this great heritage of ours,” said the CM in his message to the state culture department. “The entry fee of any museum in the state should not be more than Rs 10,” he added.
As per the directive of the CM, no entry fee will be charged for entry to the museums in the state for students, artisans, and weavers. He also wanted the popularization of museums in Odisha so that more tourists visit them.
The CM’s order will also be effective at the State Museum and the Tribal Culture and Research Museum in Bhubaneswar as well as the Maritime Museum in Cuttack.
