Narrow Escape For Passengers As Bus Driver Suffers Epileptic Seizure

Cuttack: Around 60 passengers of a private bus had a miraculous escape when the bus they were travelling hit the railings of a culvert and kept hanging from the culvert on State Highway No 65 near Pota Pokhari in Odisha’s Cuttack district late Monday night.

The ill-fated bus was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Kuchinda in Sambalpur district.

The accident occurred as the driver of the bus suffered an epileptic seizure and lost control over the vehicle. The out of control bus crashed to the the railing of a culvert and was hanging from the culvert.

On being informed, personnel of the Khuntuni police station with the help of the locals rescued the bus passengers. Luckily none of them were injured except the bus driver, who sustained minor injuries in the accident. All were provided medical assistance at the Asthgarh Community Health Centre (CHC).
