No Trains to Stop at Bahanaga Bazar Station till CBI Completes Triple Train Accident Probe

Bhubaneswar: No train will have a stoppage at Bahanaga Bazar railway station in Balasore district till the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) completes its investigation into the horrific triple train crash on June 2 that claimed 288 lives.

As relay interlocking panel has been sealed by the CBI prohibiting access of the staff at the station to the signaling system, no passenger or goods train would stop at Bahanaga Bazar till further notice.

According to the report, 170 trains pass through the Bahanaga Bazar Railway station every day. Out of them only seven passenger trains, including Bhadrak-Balasore MEMU, Howrah Bhadrak Baghajatin Fast Passenger, and Kharagpur Khurda road fast passenger, halt there for one minute stoppage.
