Parliament’s Monsoon Session from July 20

New Delhi: Parliament’s Monsoon Session will start on July 20 and continue till August 11, informed Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday.

“Monsoon Session, 2023, of Parliament will commence from July 20 and continue till August 11. Urge all parties to contribute towards productive discussions on legislative business and other items during the session,” Joshi tweeted. It will have 17 sittings spread over 23 days.

The session is expected to be a stormy one as Opposition parties are trying hard to get united against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government.

As per reports, during this monsoon session of the Parliament, the government may table the Uniform Civil Code Bill. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already hinted about it.

The Monsoon Session will start in the old Parliament Building and later on, it will move to the new Parliament Building.

The new Parliament building was inaugurated by PM Modi on May 28.
