PM Modi Travels by Metro to Attend Delhi Univ Event

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled on the Delhi Metro to attend an event at Delhi University on Friday.

The photographs shared by the PMO showcase PM Modi sitting with commuters and interacting in the Delhi Metro during his journey to the Delhi University campus.

There was a three-tier security with deployment of over 1,000 paramilitary and police personnel for his metro train journey. He visited Delhi University to attend the closing ceremony of its centenary celebration.

PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of three buildings at Delhi University. These buildings would be for the faculty of technology, computer centre and academic block.

No black dresses, compulsory attendance, and suspension of classes between 10 am and noon are among the guidelines issued by Delhi University colleges for the live telecast of the closing ceremony of the university’s centenary celebrations.

Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan will be the guest of honour for the event.
