Tight Security for Prez’s Visit to Bhubaneswar on Feb 10 & 11

Bhubaneswar: Elaborate security arrangements will be in place for the visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Bhubaneswar on February 10 and 11.

During the visit, the first citizen of India will attend the convocation ceremony at the Ramadevi Women’s University in Bhubaneswar. She is scheduled to visit the Lingaraj Temple on the morning of February 11.

Around 40 platoons of the police force and more than 200 officers will be deployed during the visit of President Murmu. For extra security plain clothed cops and rooftop security forces will be engaged.

A meeting was held in the Lingaraj temple office under the chairmanship of the District Collector regarding arrangements for the President’s visit.

As per the schedule, the Khordha collector will welcome President at Lingaraj Temple. President Murmu will worship Lord Lingaraj in the Garva Gurha after the darshan of Lord Siddhi Binayak. Mahasuar Sevayats will provide Kothabhoga to the President.
