TMC Leader, Her Husband & Daughter Hacked to Death in Bengal

Kolkata: A panchayat-level leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), her husband, and their daughter were hacked to death at Sitalkuchi village in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district on Friday morning. Another daughter of the deceased couple was seriously injured.

The victims were rushed to the block primary health center. Later they were shifted to the sub-divisional hospital, where the couple was declared dead. Their daughters were referred to the MJN Hospital in Cooch Behar, where one of their daughters succumbed to injuries.

Preliminary investigation hints that the reason behind this lethal attack may be related to a love affair that went wrong. Investigating police officials have not found any political angle to it yet. All aspects are being probed.
