1 Killed, 2 Critical After Auto Carrying Labourers Overturns In Rayagada

Rayagada: At least one person died and 2 others sustained critical injuries in a freak road mishap early this morning when an auto-rickshaw overturned near Kiapadu in the Rayagada district.

The deceased has not yet been identified.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. However, two of them were later referred to Rayagada district headquarters hospital (DHH) because of their critical condition.

According to eyewitnesses, the rickshaw’s driver lost control of it while travelling from Kiapadu to Rayagada carrying around 18 labourers. The injured were rescued by the locals and the police, who then hurried them to the hospital.

The auto-rickshaw was seized by police, who have also begun an investigation.
