2 Killed as Motorcycle Collides With Electric Pole in Odisha’s Sonepur

Sonepur: Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic motorcycle accident in Biramaharajpur town in Odisha’s Sonepur district. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday as the victims, identified as Sambit (21) from Kamira and Sipak Nag (18) from Buthipadar block, were returning home from work.

Sambit, employed at a local hotel, and Sipak Nag were heading towards Sasi Uphula block when their motorcycle lost control and collided with a roadside electric pole near Uphula Narayani Mandir, under Birmaharajpur police limits. The collision resulted in severe injuries for both riders.

Passersby immediately alerted the police, and the injured were rushed to Birmaharajpur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Unfortunately, the medical professionals at the hospital declared both individuals brought dead.

A police team visited the accident site, launching a thorough investigation. A case has been registered and further details are awaited.
