Ashwini Vaishnaw Quashes Speculations of Contesting Lok Sabha Polls From Balasore

Balasore: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has quashed speculations about his potential candidacy in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Balasore. During his recent visit to the district, Vaishnaw responded to media queries, stating unequivocally that he will not contest from Balasore. Instead, he reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing development projects and expressed support for the sitting MP, Pratap Sarangi.

While inspecting the Balasore Railway Station, Vaishnaw directed officials to change the station name to ‘Baleswar’ from ‘Balasore.’ He also visited the Jhadheshwar Shiv temple with Pratap Sarangi, making donations to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital, including a life support ambulance. Additionally, he inspected the AIIMS Satellite Hospital.

Addressing the long-standing demand of the locals, Vaishnaw instructed the General Manager and DRM to complete the stairs’ construction at Balasore Railway Station within eight to nine months. This move reflects his commitment to addressing community needs.
