Big success for police in search of marijuana: lots of money and gold found in vegetable’s bag

Ganjam (Odisha Bhaskar): The police have got great success while searching for cannabis. A lot of gold biscuits and lots of money were seized during the inspection of cannabis in Ganjam. Cash worth 1 crore 22 lakh and 20 gold biscuits have been seized. The police seized these from the bag during the inspection of cannabis near Lanjipali bypass yesterday.

However, the vigilance department received information that car full of marijuana was passing through the area of Baidyanathpur police station in Ganjam district. On this basis, the vigilance officer was checking in various streets. A car bearing Mumbai number plates was stopped by a vigilance officer near Lanjipali late last night.

After checking the car, cash of 1 crore 22 lakhs was found in it. On asking the 2 people in the car from where he got such a large amount of money, he told a gold merchant of Berhampur that he got this money by selling gold biscuits. Later, when the businessman was called and questioned, he bought the gold. Later, when the business was called and questioned, he admitted that he had bought gold. A total of 22 gold biscuits were seized from him. Police have detained 3 people in this incident. Among them, there are 2 gold merchants from Bada Bazar and one from Maharashtra. The detained person is identified as Bharat Gokhe naik from Maharashtra.
