Bhubaneswar: Anticipating increased passenger demand during Chhath Puja, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the operation of a special train between Puri in Odisha and Jayanagar in Bihar.
The special train, numbered 08419, will depart from Puri at 11:30 p.m. on November 16, 2023, heading towards Jayanagar. The return journey train, designated as 08450 Patna-Puri Special, will leave Jayanagar at 11:30 p.m. on November 17, 2023.
The Chhath Puja special train will make stops at key stations such as Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra, Asansol, Madhupur, Jashidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni, Samastipur, Laheria Sarai, Darbhanga, Sakri, and Madhubani in both directions.
The special train will provide a convenient and dedicated transportation option between Puri and Jayanagar for those planning to participate in the Chhath Puja celebrations.
