Dhamnagar: Vote counting for the byelection to the Dhamnagar assembly constituency is underway right now. The counting will be undertaken in as many as 18 rounds on 14 benches.
A heavy tussle was seen between the candidates for the by-elections. This increased the anticipation among the candidates as well as the general public as a clear-cut winner is hard to be thought of.
As of 11:20 AM on Sunday, 4 rounds of vote counting have been completed and BJP’s Suryavanshi Suraj continues to lead the Dhamnagar assembly seat by 3,261 votes, claiming a total of 18,181 votes. The BJD’s Abanti Das follows suit securing 14,920 votes at the end of 4 rounds of counting.
