Vigilance Nets IDCO Chief GM (P&A) Over Alleged Asset Discrepancies

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance officials initiated simultaneous house searches on Tuesday following allegations of disproportionate asset accumulation against Saroj Kanta Mohanty, Chief General Manager (P&A) at IDCO, Bhubaneswar.

The searches uncovered significant assets, including two multi-storeyed buildings, two 3 BHK flats, 10 plots, and a four-wheeler. Vigilance Technical Wing is currently assessing the measurement and valuation of the seized properties.

The operation, authorized by search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, involves 10 DSPs, 6 Inspectors, and additional staff. The searches are being carried out at seven locations in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jajpur, including a 3BHK flat in Amrita Alayam, Chandrasekharpur; a 3 BHK flat in Metro Green Woods, Baranga; Mohanty’s paternal house in Brambhabarada village; a three-storeyed building in Mahanadi Vihar; a two-storeyed house in Jaraka village; a relative’s house in IRC Village, Nayapalli; and Mohanty’s office room at IDCO Tower.

The searches are ongoing, and a comprehensive report is awaited as authorities continue their investigation.
