Delhi-Bound IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Bhubaneswar Due to Technical Issue

Bhubaneswar: An IndiGo flight bound for New Delhi made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar on Monday due to a technical issue with one of its engines. The flight, carrying 180 passengers, landed safely, and all passengers were unharmed.

The flight, IndiGo 6E-2065, had departed from Bhubaneswar airport at 7:50 AM and was scheduled to arrive in New Delhi at 10:25 AM. However, approximately 20-25 minutes into the flight, the pilot detected a technical issue with the left engine and decided to return to BPIA.

The flight landed safely at BPIA at 8:30 AM. Passengers were disembarked from the flight, and another flight was arranged to transport them to New Delhi.

The cause of the technical issue is not yet known, but initial reports suggest that it may have been caused by a bird strike. The aircraft has been grounded for further inspection.

The pilot’s quick action in safely landing the flight has been praised by all quarters. One passenger said, “The pilot handled the situation very well and ensured that all passengers were safe.”

Airport authorities are investigating the incident.
