IndiGo To Introduce Business Class In Flights By Year-End

New Delhi: IndiGo has announced plans to introduce a business class option on its flights this year. This move comes as the airline aims to cater to the growing needs of passengers in a rapidly expanding economy. The new business class, tailored specifically for India’s busiest and business-centric routes, will be unveiled around August, coinciding with the carrier’s 18th anniversary.

Currently operating with only economy class, IndiGo’s decision to expand its services reflects its commitment to evolving alongside India’s dynamic economic landscape. With a fleet of over 360 aircraft and approximately 2,000 daily flights, IndiGo aims to redefine premium travel in India, offering a desired option for those seeking elevated travel experiences.

CEO Pieter Elbers emphasized the airline’s dedication to innovation, noting the close relationship between India’s growth and IndiGo’s own trajectory over the past 18 years. As India strides toward becoming the world’s third-largest economy, IndiGo sees it as a privilege to provide enhanced travel options for the evolving needs of its passengers, particularly in the business segment.

More details about the new business class offering, including launch date and routes, will be disclosed closer to August.
