1.5-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped From Soro Hospital Rescued, Hunt On for Abductor

Balasore: A sigh of relief washed over Soro of Balasore district as police rescued a kidnapped 1.5-year-old boy on Friday. The incident occurred when a woman, visiting the hospital to obtain a death certificate for a relative, discovered her baby missing.

The distraught mother alleged that an unknown woman stole her baby while she was at Soro Hospital. Despite her extensive search, the baby could not be located, prompting her to file a complaint at the Soro police station. Responding promptly, the police located and rescued the infant from a tribal slum at Court Chhak in Soro.

However, the kidnapper remains at large. A manhunt has been launched, and authorities are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.

This incident follows another recent case where a three-year-old boy named Subham disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Raipur village under Soro police limits on January 1. Subham went missing while playing near his house, triggering a widespread search by his parents and villagers in vain, as he could not be found in the village pond, bus stand, or railway station.

The police are actively pursuing leads in both cases to ensure the swift resolution of these distressing incidents.
