E-Admission Schedule for UG Courses in Odisha Announced

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education department has released the schedule for e-Admission into UG courses for the Academic Session 2023-24.

The admissions will be conducted through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS). The complete timeline and important dates for the admission process can be found on the official website of SAMS. Applicants are advised to refer to the Common Prospectus (CP) before filling out the Common Application Form (CAF).

The online Common Application Form (CAF) will be available on the SAMS website from 19th June 2023 (2.00 PM) until the last date for application, which is 4th July 2023 (11.45 PM).

Important dates to note for the admission process are as follows:

  • Validation and correction of the Common Application Form (CAF) at SAMS Resource Centers (SRCs) can be done from 21st June 2023 (11.00 AM) to 7th July 2023 (7.00 PM) (except on holidays).
  • The provisional allotment of seats for the first round selection will be published on 14th July 2023 (2.00 PM).
  • Selected students can choose the Slide/Freeze/Float option and make the online payment of admission fees through the SAMS Student’s Account portal from 14th July 2023 (7.00 PM) to 18th July 2023 (11.45 PM).
  • Applicants who have been allotted seats in the first round must report to their allotted institutions for admission on 15th July 2023 (9.00 AM), 17th July 2023 (9.00 AM) to 19th July 2023 (5.00 PM).
  • The respective institutions will update the data of admitted students in the e-space during the same period (15th July 2023 to 19th July 2023).

Similar timelines and procedures are followed for the subsequent rounds of selection, with the last round of admission being conducted on 13th September 2023.

It’s important to note that the admissions process also includes the BA (Law) Stream of National Law University (NLU), Cuttack, and 4-Year BA BEd/BSc BEd courses in 3 HEIs.
